Jesus; my Sampson

Quote; “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. There is one great central truth to be kept ever before the mind in the searching of the Scriptures–Christ and Him crucified. Every other truth is invested with influence and power corresponding to its relation to this theme. . . . The soul palsied by sin can be endowed with life only through the work wrought out upon the cross by the Author of our salvation.  When Christ bowed His head and died, He bore the pillars of Satan’s kingdom with Him to the earth. He vanquished Satan.

Christ submitted to crucifixion, although the heavenly host could have delivered Him. The angels suffered with Christ. God Himself was crucified with Christ; for Christ was one with the Father. Those who reject Christ, those who will not have this man to rule over them, choose to place themselves under the rule of Satan, to do his work as his bond-slaves. Yet for them Christ yielded up His life on Calvary.  He who died for the sins of the world was to remain in the tomb the allotted time. He was in that stony prison house as a prisoner of divine justice. He was responsible to the Judge of the universe. He was bearing the sins of the world, and His Father only could release Him.

He identified Himself with our interests, bared His breast for the stroke of death, took man’s guilt and its penalty, and offered in man’s behalf a complete sacrifice to God. By virtue of this atonement, He has power to offer to man perfect righteousness and full salvation. Whosoever shall believe on Him as a personal Saviour shall not perish, but have everlasting life.  The price of man’s redemption has been paid, and all he has and is should be sprinkled with the blood of Christ, dedicated to God; for it belongs to Him.”{FLB 50}

Here is the piece that really caught my attention; “When Christ bowed His head and died, He bore the pillars of Satan’s kingdom with Him to the earth. He vanquished Satan.” Did it catch yours?  Let me quote another similar story from Judges 16:25-30 “And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.  And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, “Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.”  Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines [were] there; and [there were] upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.  And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.  And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.  And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than [they] which he slew in his life.”

Samson in his death bought a massive victory to Israel, as this sacrifice released Israel from extremely oppressive destructive oppression, and that was because Samson pulled down their complete Power-Base and Empire.  Jesus Christ, on the Cross at Calvary, took Satan’s Symbol of Victory, the Cross, and raised it as his sign of victory, and defeated and destroyed Satan’s kingdom by taking it captive, bring it into captivity, and shortly to completely destroy it forever.  2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

Samson pulled down their Government and Central Worship Centre, all in one act and destroyed their Monarchy and Priesthood, so their Religious and Political power-base was gone, and Israel ruled.  At Calvary, Jesus Christ was jubilantly flaunted before many sinners, both Religious Rulers and Political rulers, and their followers, as a defeated and conquered foe.  Then the tables turned, and to their horror and surprise, Jesus Christ, single handedly, pulled down Satan’s Empire and conquered him, and then ascended to his, and our, Heavenly Father, to sit upon his throne as Ruler of Heaven and Earth and all things therein.

The Court of Heaven will sit shortly, the books that have very carefully recorded every thought word and deed, will be opened, and Judgement and rewards will be handed out, some rewards are to death and destruction, and to never exist again in any format.  Others rewards are to Life, and that is Eternal and never ending with all its amazing blessings.  Quote; “The righteousness by which we are justified is imputed; the righteousness by which we are sanctified is imparted. The first is our title to heaven, the second is our fitness for heaven.”  {FLB 116}

If we are not “In Christ Jesus” and “He in Us,” then we are not experiencing the Righteousness of Christ, which is living his life as a perfect duplicate, as a Christian, one like Christ, then you are a Sinner, and Heavens Door will never open to you and let you in, as your Character and Life has unfitted yourself for the “Purity of Heaven,” and you would not be happy, and the risk of you contaminating others is too great, so you are weighed in the balances and found wanting; what a waste as Jesus gave his All, for you to be there.
