Warrior or Worrier

The English Language has lots and lots of interesting little “plays on words,” where a minor change in the letters in a word, can make a major impact and difference in the words intent, meaning and even its force.  So, are you a “Warrior” or just a defeated and beaten down “Worrier?”  A Warrior is “one who is engaged in, or experienced in war.”  A “Worrier” is “one who is concerned and anxious about things that may or may not, or might not even happen.”  The two words are identical, except for a change of the second letter, and this has changed the person from a Victor to a Defeated Captive, from a Victorious Overcomer and Conqueror, to totally Defeated.  Just one letter, and we have leapt from one extreme, clearly over to the absolute opposite end of the spectrum, so are you a Warrior or a Worrier?

The change between the two words is simply found in the second letter, and we just changed it from an “o” to an “a,” most of us draw a lower case “A” by first drawing the circle, and then putting a vertical stick to the right hand side.  We have in essence put a “Spine,” or “Staked” the “O” and given a “no go” some “real get up and go.”  We can, each and all of us, so often get so “Spineless,” and then simply roll over at the very thought of the first sign of Trials and Troubles, often throwing up our arms in defeat and quitting, and that is often well before we even got to the perceived or real trouble or trial, and then in the confusion we so easily forget the saying; “When the Going gets tough, then the Tough get going.”  Did you even Pray before you started today, did you commit your life to Christ, and did you pray for strength to go through this, or any other trouble and trial? Are you an active “Warrior?”

All real Christians are “Soldiers of the Cross,” and are part of the “A” Team, those victorious Warriors, those who get up and go, the get on and live, we are those that live continually in “Victory in Jesus,” and are victors in all things.  We have the backing of all of Heaven at our disposal, and a simple “Prayer” can soon knock that scary monster of a giant, flat on its face right at our very feet, and their cheering and encouraging mockers, that vast array of jeering backers are now fleeing from before you, disappearing from you, and going as hard as they can far away from you, always victorious in Christ Jesus, a real Warrior and not a defeated Worrier.  Christians are “Over-Comers” and cry, “I can do all things through Christ Jesus, which strengtheneth me.”  Philippians 4:13.  We should always be crying out, “Bring it on!” as we have Victory in Jesus, when we so often duck low as we disappear, whispering, “I’m gone,” defeated by some mythical Worry, no longer a “Warrior” but a defeated “Worrier.”

Quote; “Satan is well aware that the weakest soul who abides in Christ is more than a match for the hosts of darkness, and that, should he reveal himself openly, he would be met and resisted. Therefore he seeks to draw away the soldiers of the cross from their strong fortification, while he lies in ambush with his forces, ready to destroy all who venture upon his ground. Only in humble reliance upon God, and obedience to all His commandments, can we be secure.  No man is safe for a day or an hour without prayer. Especially should we entreat the Lord for wisdom to understand His Word? Here are revealed the wiles of the tempter and the means by which he may be successfully resisted. Satan is an expert in quoting Scripture, placing his own interpretation upon passages, by which he hopes to cause us to stumble. We should study the Bible with humility of heart, never losing sight of our dependence upon God. While we must constantly guard against the devices of Satan, we should pray in faith continually: “Lead us not into temptation.” {DD 12}

So do you have “Victory in Jesus Christ,” and are you a “Warrior – In Christ” or are you just a “Worrier and an expendable pawn in the hands of Satan?”  We all have the choice of whether to be a “Warrior” and to be used by Heaven for the greater betterment of us, and all those around us, or else we can chose, or even to make no choice at all, and then find that we are just expendable refuse in the hand of Satan, putty in his hands and just a wasted “Worrier.”  As a “Warrior” we just get smarter, quicker and stronger with each assault and attack of the enemy of souls, by continually living in the Spirit, we have an amazing “Early Warning System,” as provided by Scripture, by Prayer and Heavenly Intervention, and even from fellow believers who are fellow “Warriors,” and Encouragers.

Here is “The Lord’s Prayer,” our victory as a “Warrior,” Matthew 6:9-13 “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”  If we prayed this Scripture daily as our “Warrior” commitment, and then put action to the words and actually lived this, Satan is going to be terrified.  Question; “Are you a “Worrier” or a “Warrior?” There is always “Victory in Jesus Christ,” so let us each resole daily, to actually live that way.
