Bear ye one another’s burdens

Quote; “The Saviour is acquainted with the mental suffering of His children. He knows how at times their hearts are wounded and bleeding. He would have the afflicted soothed and helped. He says to us, “Bear ye one another’s burdens” (Galatians 6:2). “We then, that are strong, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves” (Romans 15:1). We are to relate ourselves rightly to one another, even though to do this demands sacrifice. Christ made an infinite sacrifice for us, and should we not be willing to sacrifice for others? We are to guard carefully against wounding or bruising the hearts of God’s children, for when we do this, we wound and bruise the heart of Christ.  {UL 31}

Matthew 5:37-42 “But let your communication be, yea, yea; nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.  Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:  But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have [thy] cloak also.  And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.  Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.”

1 Peter 2:19-23 “For this [is] thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.  For what glory [is it], if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? But if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God.  For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:  Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:  Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously.”

But you cannot control what others may do to you, But you can certainly control your reactions.  1 Peter 3:15-17 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.  For [it is] better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.”

Colossians 3:15 MSG “Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.”

Matthew 18:6 “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”  Hosea 8:7 “For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.”  Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Revelation 22:11-12 “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”  Deuteronomy 1:16 “And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear [the causes] between your brethren, and judge righteously between [every] man and his brother, and the stranger [that is] with him.”  Psalm 67:4      “let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.”  Proverbs 31:9 “Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.”  2 Timothy 4:8 “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”  Quote; “The tares are permitted to grow among the wheat, to have all the advantage of sun and shower; but in the time of harvest ye shall “return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.” Malachi 3:18. Christ Himself will decide who are worthy to dwell with the family of heaven. He will judge every man according to his words and his works. Profession is as nothing in the scale. It is character that decides destiny. {COL 74}  John 5:22-23 “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:  That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”

We must remember that Christ the Righteous Judge shall weigh all our thoughts, deeds, actions, our everything, and then award our “Pay Packet,” according as our deeds have been, whether unto “Life,” or unto “Death,” so how should we “Bear ye one another’s Burdens?”  Shall we react to justified, or unjustified criticism, accusations, or judgements, with “righteous indignation,” or with a “Christ-like Spirit” of humble humility, and leave all Judgement to Jesus Christ, by taking ourselves immediately from off the “Judgement Seat.”

Romans 12:19-21 ERV “My friends, don’t try to punish anyone who does wrong to you. Wait for God to punish them with his anger. In the Scriptures the Lord says, “I am the one who punishes; I will pay people back.” [Deuteronomy 32:25]  But you should do this: “If you have enemies who are hungry, give them something to eat.  If you have enemies who are thirsty, give them something to drink.  In doing this you will make them feel ashamed.” [Proverbs 25:21-22]  Don’t let evil defeat you, but defeat evil by doing good.”  Why not “Bear ye one another’s Burdens?”
