God’s Throne

So what is it like around God’s Throne, what would it actually be like to stand there and to gaze about, let us see what we can glean from Scripture.  Isaiah 6:1-4 “In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.  Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.  And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, [is] the LORD of hosts: the whole earth [is] full of his glory.  And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.”  Earthquake, Fire, Smoke, most tempestuous.

Revelation 5:7-9 “And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.  And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”

Revelation 5:11-12 “And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Loud Praise

Ezekiel 28:14 “Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”  Daniel 7:9-10 “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment [was] white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like] the fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire.  A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.”  Fire and heat, tempestuous.

So all is fire, and even the stones of the floor are on fire, a very tempestuous environment, this is nothing more than the power house, the energy source, that source which Jesus Christ used when he created everything.  John 1:14 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins: who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”  So if we are “In Christ,” then all this power is available to us.  John 14:12-15 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].  If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

So we find a parallel concept when Shadrach Meshach and Abednego got thrown into the fiery furnace, heated up some seven times hotter, by the king of Babylon, and all because of their sinless-ness, there was just nothing to burn up, they were already pure gold, as gold represents God. Revelation 3:18-19 “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.”  If you are pure gold, or pure God, then the flames cannot burn anything, because this flame only destroys sin and corruption.  Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”  Matthew 5:8 “Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”So if you want to see God, and the Redeemed do actually get this very opportunity, Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”  The “Perfect,” and “Pure in Heart,” are gold, gold tried in the fire, they are “Fireproof,” so when God gives them a cuddle and a hug, that kiss to wipe away all the pain and past, that encouraging word to get you up and running again, now is the time.  1 Corinthians 3:11-16 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.  Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.  If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.  If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”  So are you preparing your character and life right now to look God right in the eye, and to then hear this, “His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” [Mathew 25:23]  Are you currently planning to be there at “God’s Throne?”
