Husband — House-Band

A Husband is meant to be the “House Band,” that which is to be the protecting wall, that which encircles, to be embraced and enclosed, that wall of defense against all that is out there that would cause harm and grief, locking it outside and keeping it away from the family.  ‘Cities of Refuge,’ also has this concept of being enclosed, embraced, safe, protected, but one sometimes finds out that once the wall goes up and the door closes securely, then he that should be the “Protector,” becomes the “Aggressor.”  This concept is “Fornication,” which means ‘that which should not ought to be,’ sin has once more corrupted purity, safety, wholesomeness, and turned it into not nice and corruption, where friend becomes foe, this should not ought to be.

Matthew 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.” Matthew 18:6 “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”  Exodus 22:22-24 “Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.  If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.”  Psalm 145:17-19 “The LORD [is] righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.  The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.  He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.”  Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear.”

It was once said; “A Real Man never hurts any woman.  Be very careful when you make a woman cry, because God counts her tears.  The Woman came out of a man’s rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his head to be superior, but from his side to be equal.  Under his arm to be protected, next to his heart to be loved.”  Exodus 22:22-24 “Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.  If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.”

A ’Husband’ is the head of the family and gets ‘Two Votes,’ and the wife gets ‘One Vote,’ that is a one vote each, and a casting vote for the chairman or head of the family, for all decisions.  Should a husband become a dictator and power crazy, and feel that they can over-ride all decisions and get their own selfish way, then that is very dangerous ground, that is God’s little girl you are oppressing, the apple of his eye, the one he loves most dearly, so when you have to account for your every word or action, would you like to have treated her very differently?  If so, start today with treating your spouse righteously.  If a wife wants to usurp her position and turn into a demanding dictator and oppressor, then God will be calling her to account, and be judged for what she has said and done.  Exodus 22:23-24a “If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath shall wax hot,” Not a nice place to be, just consider Sodom and Gomorrah.  Maybe we should be more like Job, Job 1:8 “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Quote; “When engaged in labour, guard the mind, keep it stayed upon God, talk less and meditate more. Remember, “Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36. Let your words be select; this will close a door against the adversary of souls. Let your day be entered upon with prayer; work as in God’s sight. His angels are ever by your side, making a record of your words, your deportment, and the manner in which your work is done.  {CH 415}

Quote; “God gives to every soul freedom to think, and to follow his own convictions. “Every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” No one has a right to merge his own individuality in that of another. In all matters where principle is involved, “let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” Romans 14:12, 5. In Christ’s kingdom there is no lordly oppression, no compulsion of manner. The angels of heaven do not come to the earth to rule, or to exact homage, but as messengers of mercy, to co-operate with men in uplifting humanity.  {DA 550}

Ephesians 5:23-25 “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in everything.  Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;” Leviticus 19:18 “Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD.”  Matthew 19:19 “Honour thy father and [thy] mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”  Matthew 19:19 [Adapted] “Honour Her father and [Her] mother for she is their treasured daughter: and, thou shalt love thy Spouse greater than thyself.”  Exodus 22:22-24 gives admonition, make her sad, or make him cry, and if they turn to God and cry out to God, he will sort it out for them and become your adversary and punisher.  Husband – House-Band may you in every way always be a shield and protector, that safe place, that haven from sin and corruption, that which makes Heaven as close to Earth as it is possible, and that those with you only cry out in praise and in happiness, Quote; “His angels are ever by your side, making a record of your words, your deportment, and the manner in which your work is done. {CH 415} Husbands, are you Godly in all you do, say and think, God is watching and recording, and holds their sorrow and tears in a bottle, make their tears abundant tears of joy and happiness, and ever be the protector and safe haven, representing God always, starting from right now.

God hears and quickly responds to the voice and cry of the oppressed and downtrodden, and God acts, so please do not be the ‘Oppressor’ for it is a fearful position to be in and to find yourself actually warring against God.  Amos 3:3 “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”  What happens in your home, is it mutual discussion and common planning, or just plain ole ‘Dictatorial dictatorship?’  Remember that a single horse can pull 8,000lbs but a pair teamed up are together easily pulling 32,000lbs, are you pulling together in the same direction to the same goals, pulling differently, or actually pulling against each other, lots of effort but absolutely no movement or gains.  Jeremiah 18:13c ERV “Israel, who is as dear to me as a young daughter,” remember that you are married to God’s precious and treasured little girl.  Matthew 22:37-39 [Adapted] “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy spouse greater than you love thyself.”  Men, are you a “Husband – House-Band,” protecting and aiding Godly growth development in all those within your walls? Quote; “It is not too late to redeem the neglect of the past.  Let there be a revival of the first love, the first ardor.  Search out the ones you have driven away, bind up by confession the wounds you have made.  Come close to the great Heart of pitying love, and let the current of that divine compassion flow into your heart and from you to the hearts of others.  Let the tenderness and mercy that Jesus has revealed in his own precious life be an example to us of the manner in which we should treat our fellow beings, especially those who are our brethren in Christ.” {CT 254-260} Quote; “Human beings are Christ’s property, purchased by him at an infinite price, bound to Him by the love that He and His Father have manifested for them.  How careful, then, we should be in our dealing with one another!  Men have no right to surmise evil in regard to their fellow men.  Church members have no right to follow their own impulses and inclinations in dealing with fellow members who have erred.  They should not even express their prejudices regarding the erring, for thus they place in other minds the leaven of evil.  Reports unfavorable to a brother or sister in the church are communicated from one to another of the church members.  Mistakes are made and injustice is done because of an unwillingness on the part of someone to follow the directions given by the Lord Jesus. {CT 254-260} Do Husbands need to repent and to live more Godly lives, care properly for those under their care, do you need to become a proper ‘Husband—House-Band?’
