Nothing in Me

John 14:30 “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”  Satan was never able to “Pin anything on Jesus,” there were no ‘coat-hooks’ or ‘peg’ for him to hang things upon, there were no blemishes nor defects, Satan just threw loads of muck at Jesus on a daily basis, but nothing would ever stick, for Satan “hath nothing in me.”  Ephesians 5:27 “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”  Revelation 13:8 “And all that dwell upon the [New] earth shall worship him, whose names are written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”  In the original “Passover,” this is the requirement for the ‘Passover Lamb,’ Exodus 12:5-7 “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take [it] out from the sheep, or from the goats:  And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening [after lunch].  And they shall take of the blood, and strike [it] on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.”

1 Corinthians 5:7 “Purge out therefore the old leaven [Sin and sinfulness], that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:” Romans 7:14 “For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.”  Sin sells us out to Satan, we live under the curse and the bondage of sin and death, Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Only when we are ‘In Christ,’ then we can boldly declare John 14:30 “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”  Satan, sin, corruption, everything other than holiness unto the Lord, has been removed from our lives, and Satan has nothing at all to hang trash upon us, no charges will ever stick, we are beyond reproach, Matthew 5:48 “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”  Luke 23:4 “Then said Pilate to the chief priests and [to] the people, I find no fault in this man.”

1 John 1:5-10 “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”  To grasp this concept, we need to return to the Sanctuary Services, to gain the fullest meaning, now where is this “Sin?”  If it is “In You,” then you are dead in your trespasses and sins.  Now if repented of, a lamb offered, blood is shed, it dies in your very place, John 1:36 “And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!”  Now ‘Forgiven Sin’ is still yours, it still has your name upon it, for it still lies stacked up in the Sanctuary until the ultimate Yom Kippur removes it, and at that date it becomes no longer yours, and can never be found or traced back to you.  To understand better, let us use a Parable; a boat floats in water yes, but that is water outside the boat yes, now what about water inside the boat??  We live in a world of sin, we float upon it every moment of every day, but is there water/sin inside the boat, inside your life?  Inside will sink you, and there you will drown in your trespasses and sins, so repentance, confession for letting water/sin in, some caulking to seal up the leak, a patch repair or two, and one is floating high and dry again, patched, repaired, John 14:30b “for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”  No water in his boat, no sin in his life, “I find no fault in this man.”  James 5:20 “Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.” 1 John 3:5-6 “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, [and has] neither known him.”

1 John 4:15-21 “Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.  And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  We love him, because he first loved us.  If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?  And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”  1 John 5:11-12 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”  1 John 3:9 “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1 John 2:14 “I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.” 1 John 2:29 “If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.”  1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” 1 John 2:12 “I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.”  John 14:30b “for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”  There is no Water/Sin in this wee boat.  It is not how many or how few patches are nailed to our boat, for all that matters is that we sail into Heaven, step onto the shore, slide rite on in with no leaks and all dry inside, John 14:30b “for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me,” no leaks here, inspection passed with flying colour’s, there ain’t no sin, and there ain’t no leaks or water in this ole boat, just a fair few Battle Scars, but all nice and dry inside, check it out, he hath nothing in me either.
