Destiny

Question; “Are you ready to be who you were destined to be?”  Laid out before you is opening and unfolding many such amazing potentials, opportunities beyond comprehension, abundant choices, do you want to soar with eagles or to scratch around in the dirt like chickens.  “Are you ready to be who you were destined to be?”  God has amazing things all planned out for you, Quote; “Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God’s ideal for His children. Godliness–godlikeness–is the goal to be reached. Before the student there is opened a path of continual progress. He has an object to achieve, a standard to attain, that includes everything good, and pure, and noble. He will advance as fast and as far as possible in every branch of true knowledge. But his efforts will be directed to objects as much higher than mere selfish and temporal interests as the heavens are higher than the earth. {Ed 18} We need to be ‘Starlinked’ to Jesus and to God all the time, every moment of every day, but “Are you ready to be who you were destined to be?”  1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”

Quote; “Christ’s true disciples follow Him through sore conflicts, enduring self-denial and experiencing bitter disappointment; but this teaches them the guilt and woe of sin, and they are led to look upon it with abhorrence. Partakers of Christ’s sufferings, they are destined to be partakers of His glory. In holy vision the prophet saw the ultimate triumph of God’s remnant church. He writes:  “I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory . . . stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints.” Revelation 15:2, 3.  “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the Mount Sion, and with Him a hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father’s name written in their foreheads.” Revelation 14:1. {AA 590}

Quote; “Through trials and persecution, the glory–character–of God is revealed in His chosen ones. The church of God, hated and persecuted by the world, are educated and disciplined in the school of Christ. They walk in narrow paths on earth; they are purified in the furnace of affliction. They follow Christ through sore conflicts; they endure self-denial and experience bitter disappointments; but their painful experience teaches them the guilt and woe of sin, and they look upon it with abhorrence. Being partakers of Christ’s sufferings, they are destined to be partakers of His glory. In holy vision the prophet saw the triumph of the people of God. He says, “I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory, . . . stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints.” “These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.” Revelation 15:2, 3; 7:14, 15. {MB 32}

The humorist once said; “When you get to Heaven, don’t stand around and stare, the people that you are looking at may wonder how you got there!”  Seriously, God is going way above his call and duty to get you to his place, to get you there the smoothest way possible and you have the very best outcome, but we oft resist, fight against or ignore his guiding direction.  In Heaven, the redeemed will get to see what paths God had laid out for them, and should they have seen the end from the beginning, then God’s plans would be exactly your plans.  Then as you examine the paths you trod, paths outside of God’s plans, paths of failure, paths that fall short of the Glory of God, you will wonder at your stubborn foolishness, why oh why did I not trust God more.  Question; “Are you ready to be who you were destined to be?”  Surprise God by excelling well above Gods plan, in becoming more Godlike right now.
