Colossians 3:2 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”  Deuteronomy 32:29 “O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they would consider their latter end!”  Matthew 16:26-27 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”  Quote; “Satan is well aware that the weakest soul who abides in Christ is more than a match for the hosts of darkness, and that, should he reveal himself openly, he would be met and resisted. Therefore, he seeks to draw away the soldiers of the cross from their strong fortification, while he lies in ambush with his forces, ready to destroy all who venture upon his ground. Only in humble reliance upon God, and obedience to all His commandments, can we be secure. No man is safe for a day or an hour without prayer. Especially should we entreat the Lord for wisdom to understand His word. Here are revealed the wiles of the tempter and the means by which he may be successfully resisted. Satan is an expert in quoting Scripture, placing his own interpretation upon passages, by which he hopes to cause us to stumble. We should study the Bible with humility of heart, never losing sight of our dependence upon God. While we must constantly guard against the devices of Satan, we should pray in faith continually: “Lead us not into temptation.” {DD 12} “Who is your Influencer,” who has your attention, where lies your passions and desires, is it Satan, unto sin and unto death, or is it Jesus Christ unto real living, right now, as well as growing on unto an amazing life eternally?”

Quote; “So we may resist temptation, and force Satan to depart from us. Jesus gained the victory through submission and faith in God, and by the apostle He says to us, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you.” James 4:7, 8. We cannot save ourselves from the tempter’s power; he has conquered humanity, and when we try to stand in our own strength, we shall become a prey to his devices; but “the name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10. Satan trembles and flees before the weakest soul who finds refuge in that mighty name. {DA 131}   Quote; “Satan is well aware that the weakest soul who abides in Christ, is more than a match for the hosts of darkness.” {FLB 332} John 3:5-7 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”  So then “Who is your Influencer,” are you being prompted, influenced and led by the Spirit of the Living God, or are we being prompted, influenced and mis-led by the seductive and fleshy lusts of hell, what then is influencing you??

The very best and the very safest ‘Influencer,’ is the Holy Spirit, John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”  We can choose a vast array of ‘Influencers,’ but if you want the very best, the ultimate, the one who has your very best interest at heart, with benefits now, and boundless blessing throughout eternity, then choose God First, Last, and best in Everything, then, “Who is your influencer?”  Do we need some repentance, to drastically change courses, change horses in the middle of the race, to quit backing a guaranteed looser, and to pick, and to back the real winner, “Who is your Influencer?”  What benefits do we receive from the Influence of the Flesh and of Sin, it is always brief and parting, the promised sweetness leaves a sour taste in your stomach, and the results are always disastrous, so why do we get so often swayed and influenced by wrong, wrong thinking, wrong doing, wrong choices, wrong results??  “Who then is you Influencer?”

The very best and safest ‘Influencer,’ is the Holy Spirit, all the benefits are fulfilling and long lasting, right here and right now, and longer lasting into Eternity, is it our sinful nature that drags us down?  Romans 7:19-25 “For the good that I would, I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.  Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.  For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:  But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”  Mattew 11:28-30 (ASV) “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  Jesus is the very best “Influencer,” the one who gives you the very best, right here and right now, and the best keeps getting better and better, just growing and developing right throughout all Eternity.  “Who then is your Influencer??”
