This person applied for a new job, and a new role in another company, and then when they settled into this role, they then almost immediately requested that they employ two more staff members to work under them, the task is too great, yet only one person easily held this role before them.  What comes out, is that they feel too important, in reality, the job is beyond them, they are in well over their heads, so they want a team to work under them, to actually do the job that they were actually employed to do, giving the work and tasks to the subordinate staff, and then when praise is to be distributed, they will take all the adulation and praise for a job well done, taking to themselves all the glory, promotions, bonuses, for all these accolades are all mine, and only mine.  In scripture, God always expects you to do the work allocated to you, and to then when you have done your very best, always remember that when you have actually done your very best, when you have run out of ideas and steam, God will be there with renewing power and inspiration, to press you forwards, and is currently opening new doors before you, keep it up, keep on going, press forwards, God is with you, and if God is with you, who can be against you??  Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”  Paul is advising us that; ‘I fight,’ ‘I run,’ ‘I Win,’ it is an individual activity, a Sower went forth to sow, the reapers went forth to harvest, they performed the task themselves, they performed the work, thus they were actively involved, and abundantly rewarded.

It would be a very strange event where a runner ran the race, easily beat all the other competitors, and then somebody came out from the crowd and received the ‘Gold Medal,’ and all the adulation for winning the grueling race.  It does not happen; it is an outrage for somebody else to receive all the rewards and accolades for your hard work and efforts and hours of diligent training.  Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”  Rewards are distributed to each person on the basis of what they have, or have omitted to do, God prompts, directs, then blesses what you actually do, and when you reach the end of the rope, God blesses and directs, and then unrolls to you some more rope so that you can easily advance further.

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”  No, that is not for me, not my talents, not my ministry, that task and role is administered by the Ministerial Team, the Evangelism Team, the Outreach Team, I am just too busy, too important, that is just not my ‘Calling,’ just go ask somebody else God, delegate that to somebody else, but adulation and praise, well bring it on in, as I will readily accept all the rewards.  But you cannot sit back and ride into Heaven 1st Class Luxury, have Jesus to do all the work and the heavy lifting, and then you ride the parade of adulation of praise, it does not happen, the worker, the doer, those actively involved gain all the rewards to the task completed properly, Matthew 25:21 “His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”  Do you “Fall Short,” or are you currently involved in Active Service?    We expect God to reward us, to give us a top regal position, great dignity, because of the deeds and achievements of others, thou shalt not covet, thou shalt not steal others actions and rewards.  Revelation 22:12 “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”  Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”  Rewarded by what we have done in the flesh – in this life, we did it, we cannot be rewarded for what others have done, we cannot palm things off to others, and then claim and to reap their rewards, this is an individual thing, we are rewarded for what we did, what we overcame, and what we were victorious in, what character we created, what we built into our lives, we are saved as individuals and not corporately, not by family, not by church membership, a life in Christ is an individual experience, the foolish bridesmaids discovered this way too late, that  the Oil of Character and Experience in non-transferable, we cannot live “Vicariously,” for ‘In Christ,’ is a marriage term, what happens when a husband and a wife become ‘One Flesh;’ One plus One becomes One-Flesh.  One with God is an intimate, personal, experiential, relationship, something that cannot be delegated out, and you cannot try to claim all the treasures, experiences and rewards from others hard work, and grasp it and claim it as your very own, that is stealing, that is somebody who is ‘Puffed Up,’ self-important, a fake, a phoney, a dictator and a con-artist.  When you are good at something and show that you are responsible, hard-working and an achiever, the reward for great work is often … more work.  If you want something done, just ask a busy person, they have work ethics, they are planned and focused, they are doing, those who say that it cannot be done are usually being passed by those who are currently and actually doing it.  Are you in Active Service, living and achieving, or do you “Fall Short?”
